2024-05-11 01:04:18 What a wonderful evening it’s been! Tonight, we had the privilege of hosting the Thomas Gray Memorial Trophy Presentation, and it was truly a memorable occasion. We were honoured to have Commodore Adey RN, Commander Maritime Reservists & Royal NavyCadet Forces, as our esteemed guest of honour, alongside Captain Downing, Captain of the Sea Cadets and other distinguished guests from across Buckinghamshire. As well as being joined by the Commanding Officer of HMS Wildfire and staff from Southern Area Sea Cadets 1 Troop Zulu Company Southern Area Royal Marines Cadets and Sea Cadets Oxon & Bucks District We also joined by over 40 friends, family and unit supporters online! With a live stream and round ups of our past 18 months being managed from our Ships Office. BZ to our technical team that made this happen, a first for us on this level and hopefully something we would be able to offer more of in the future. Our cadets showcased their skills brilliantly, treating our visitors to an impressive tour of classes after evening colours. The evening culminated in a series of presentations, highlighting the exceptional achievements of our cadets, including Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards, Promotions, Specialisation Badges, and various boat work qualifications. The pinnacle of the evening was the presentation of the Thomas Gray Memorial Trophy, an award bestowed upon the unit recognized as the 2nd best in the country. This prestigious honour is a testament to the unwavering dedication and hard work of our ship’s company, supporters, and the wider Sea Cadet family. I couldn’t be prouder of all that our unit has accomplished. Well done, Team MK! 🎉 Lt(SCC) Tilley RNR Commanding Officer #ProudMoment #SeaCadets #ThomasGrayMemorialTrophy South East RFCA Bucks Uniformed Youth Community Action: MK Milton Keynes City Council MK Charities One MK MK Citizen Milton Keynes Community Hub Total MK Buckinghamshire County News
